We usually reply within one working day. Tell us which computer you use and what you were doing when the problem happened.

Common questions
Is File Tide free?
Yes. Download it for Windows or Mac and sign in with your Google account.
Which computers does it work on?
Windows 10 and 11, and Macs with Apple silicon (M1 and later). A version for Intel Macs is on the way.
Do my files go through your servers?
No. Files go straight between your computer and your own Google Drive. We never see them. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.
Why does Google ask me for permissions when I sign in?
File Tide asks to see and download your Drive files, so you can browse and download them, and to manage only the files File Tide creates, so it can upload. It never asks for permission to edit or delete your other files.
What does "Verified" mean?
Once a file has finished, File Tide double checks it with Google to make sure it arrived exactly as it left. Only then does it get the green Verified tick.
My internet dropped in the middle of a big upload. What now?
Nothing to do. File Tide picks up where it left off when the connection comes back, or when you open the app again after a restart.
How do I sign out or remove File Tide's access?
Sign out in File Tide's Settings. To remove access completely, go to myaccount.google.com/permissions, choose File Tide and remove access. Your files on Drive are not affected.
How do I update File Tide?
File Tide updates itself. When a new version is ready it will let you know, and installing it takes one click. You can always download the latest version from the download section.
